Affiliated with the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), in Los Angeles, California, the Doheny Eye Institute is recognized as a preeminent center for patient care and vision research since its founding in 1944. It has consistently ranked among the top ten eye care center in the United States in the annual U.S. News and World Report survey. Physicians at the Institute are faculty members of the USC Department of Ophthalmology, and many are celebrated for their contributions to the field.

The Doheny Laser Vision Center at the Doheny Eye Institute has been at the forefront of laser vision correction since the very beginning. The Center was the first to perform laser vision correction in the Los Angeles area and participated in the earliest FDA trial of the new procedure. Hundreds of physicians were trained to perform LASIK and PRK at the Center. Today, we offer advanced techniques such as custom wavefront-guided LASIK/PRK/LASEK, Verisyse phakic intraocular lenses (IOLs), intracorneal ring implants (Intacs) and astigmatic keratotomy (AK). We are able to treat a wide range of refractive errors including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), presbyopia, astigmatism and keratoconus. Since its inception, the Center has provided care for over 10,000 patients.
